Mystyc Poems: Urban Disaster Of Words!

BlueBerry Serbet and The Rainbow Spoon

Posted by Trinette Rani Johnson in August 6, 2006

Like crying when happy
Grass betwwen the toes
Laughter when sad
My dreams and twisted speech,
bitter and sweet but also unique
A whisper in winds say, “do better”
My mother’s smile
Swinging on the swing in my mind,
of neverending youth
Damn this kooky feeling of peace in me
Like Blueberry Serbet and The Rainbow Spoon,
bitter-sweet and blue and none the less odd
My baby blue-eyed foolish me in you
Ha ha
The crocked grin upon my smiling face
Grandma’s cooking
City breeze in my hair,
again and again
Oh the simple things are a healer!
